FFL License: Why It May Be More Important Now Than Ever!
If you have spent any time around guns and gun owners in American, you have probably heard the term FFL License, or Federal Firearms License. You may already know a lot about an FFL, but in case you don’t, here are some basic facts:
Americans once had all the rights that FFL Holders have today. Little by little, gun control laws have eroded away most of those rights, so the average citizen is strictly controlled in his “right to bear arms.”
In fact, if you are a hunter, a gun collector, or simply a gun lover, you cannot just go to a local gun show and purchase a new firearm or even find a great buy on the Internet and have it shipped to your home. These activities are strictly regulated, in some states more than others.
However, the holder of an FFL License is afforded most if not all of these privileges. Of course, there are certain conditions you must meet, the most important being a law-abiding citizen. But many people think that you must intend to operate a full-time gun business and a have a separate place of business in order to apply for and qualify for an FFL License, and that is simply not true.
