Neuroimmunology is a growing field, which combines the knowledge of the immune system and the nervous system. "Translational NeuroImmunology" addresses an update on bench to bedside studies on neurological disorders that have immunological aetiologies. Although neural-immune dysregulation and all autoimmune and autoinflammatory neurologic disorders will be discussed in this new volume of "Translational Immunology" Book Series. Divided into 22 chapters, the book begins with an in-depth introduction to neuroimmunology and the principles of autoimmune and autoinflammatory neurological disorders. Multiple sclerosis will be the main focus. The immunopathology, genetics and epigenetics, microbiome, diagnosis and treatment of multiple sclerosis will be explained in "Translational NeuroImmunology". 10 chapters are devoted to multiple sclerosis. The immunopathology, genetics and epigenetics, microbiome, diagnosis and treatment of multiple sclerosis will be explained. Following this, one chapter that examines distinct aspects of pericytes. Finally, the book closes with a review on the neurologic manifestations, diagnostic approaches and treatments of the various neuroimmune disorders and lessons learned from non-human primates and zebrafish translational research. All are presented in an accessible, practical format, making this volume a valuable resource for immunologists, neurologists and researchers in translational biomedical research.
